Brain Waves
Deep house · trippy house · dub textures
& hardware sessions.
Short biography
Machines, memory
& movement.
Brain Waves is the musical project of Anis Haddad, a self-taught Moroccan producer based in Canada. Since 2022, he has shaped deep and trippy house around warm grooves, dub space, soulful jazz touches and the imperfect movement of hardware.
His process is built on hands-on sequencing, analog synthesis, external effects and live mixing. The result sits between late-night club music and headphone listening: hypnotic, textured and emotionally direct.
From independent releases to EPs with Stereotype, Worst Date Records and Quatorze Recordings, Brain Waves has developed a steady catalogue of singles, EPs and hardware-led sessions.
Inside the studio

The current setup
Brain Waves’ studio combines a Moog Subsequent 25, Elektron Digitakt MK1 and Analog Four MK1, Arturia MicroFreak and Dreadbox Typhon. The instruments run through an Allen & Heath MixWizard 16:2, with direct outputs feeding an RME Fireface 802 for multitrack recording in Ableton Live.
Mixing takes place on the console or in Ableton, with flexible routing through RME TotalMix FX and monitoring on Neumann KH 120 II speakers.
